Simplex devices offer only one way communication. In this type of communication one side only receives the data and other side can only send it. E.g STU
Half Duplex are the devices that allow communication on both sides where bothe sides can send and receive data signals but on separate time. E.g Voice chat on yahoo or MSN messenger.
Full duplex on the other hand is the communication netword that allows communication at both sides at the same time. E.g telephone.

Hamm radios are the best way to give an example of simplex communication. Also it is the reason they use a call sign to show they are finished speaking to que the other person they can speak - -over.

Duplex and Full Duplex can be shown by speakerphones. A duplex speakerphone, the speaker cuts out when you talk as it can only do one at a time whereas a full duplex phone you can hear and speak at the same time (makes it more convenient so you don't talk over someone else talking on a conference call.).
