I've Been Exhibiting Symptoms Similar To My Mother's. My Mom Is 50 Years Old, And She Has Lupus And Fibromyalgia. I Have Chronic Fatigue, Painful Joints, Tender Areas In The Back Of My Head, Neck And Between My Shoulder Blades. What To Do?

I also have burning sensations as if I've been scalded in my thighs and hip areas. I'm also a type 2 diabetic; so I'm not sure if some of these problems are attributed to that or not. I also believe TMJ is part of my symptoms. I have facial pain and tiredness, a clicking sound when I open my jaw, and I involuntarily keep my teeth clenched painfully tight all the time. Any answers?

I have Fibromyalgia. It sounds to me like you have it. You could possibly have Lupas as well. They are discovering that they can be passed down from other generations. The chronic fatigue, painful joints, tender areas, and the pain are all symptoms of fibro. Personally, I don't have buring in my thigh & hip area, but I do get it in my hands & feet from time to time. Everybody's symptoms are a little different. I would go to the dr. Since your pregnant, they might not want to put you on any med yet, but at least you will know. Take care!

Are you obese? If you are loose the weight. Get in a exercise class, water exercise classes are great because there is no pressure on your joints. I bet if you do this and control your calorie intake you can control your sugar levels much better. Also sounds like you might need to see your doctor? As for your mother I hope she is doing well Lupus is a terrible oto-amune disease. She needs to take good care of herself she is not very old. Lupus can lead to kidney failure if not taken care of.

Thanks for the input. No I'm not obese. I've recently gained weight due to the fact that I'm currently pregnant right now. I don't eat red meat, just chicken, turkey and fish. Sometimes other seafoods as well. My mother does well until she overexerts herself or come into contact with someone who's sick. That's when she gets a really high fever, and literally shuts down for a few days. Same thing happens to me from time to time. I also forgot to mention that she also has fibromyalgia. I went over the symptom checklist for that too. I exhibit at least 95% of those symptoms as well.

I have had similar symptom's for a long time.....  The only thing that helped me is regular injections of Vitamin B12. Have your blood tested by your doctor.
