Can Too Much Protein In Dog Food Cause Allergies?

I don't know about too much protein, but I have a golden that has many allergies to foods , Beef, Lamb, soy, and grains.  We feed mostly fowl  Chicken and pheasant are very good.  Try changing the type of protein you give your dog.  Dogs really need protein.

I do not think it is the amount of protein that dogs are allergic to but food that has protein in it. In other words, my dog is allergic to eggs and eggs or egg whites are used in high quality dog food as a source of protein. My dog is also allergic to poultry mix such as chicken, which provides protein.
