    Battle of Atlantic:
The battle of Atlantic refers to the sea wars of World war 1st and World war 2nd.The first battle of Atlantic was fought in the seas around English Islands and in the Atlantic Ocean.
On 6th August 1914 England announced war against Germany. Two days later Germany sent ten U-boats from Holigoland to North Sea to fight against Royal Navy. One u-boat sunk in Minefield. Another named U-15 aimed at multiple Royal ships but missed each time, and finally was rammed and sunk by Royal navy light cruiser.

U-21 was also successful when it rammed Royal navy light cruiser named as Pathfinder. The cruiser sank in mere four minutes carrying crew of two hundred and fifty nine people. Another named U-9 also aimed a vessel and succeeded.

So far, it was the victory days for U-boats. German chancellor thought that, to kill without warnings is very powerful weapon. But didn't prove enough against USA and others. At last Germany could not stand before allied forces and lost the battle. All its survivor commanders and Kaiser were hanged.

The 2nd battle of Atlantic started in 1939 till 1945.In this war German's U-boats were against United States of America, Russia, Canada, and United Kingdom. The war also resulted in lost of Germany but comparatively lower than the Allies force.

The battle of the Atlantic during World War II was a campaign that ran from1939-1945 – the longest campaign of the war. This campaign involved German U-boats and, later, Italian submarines against the Allied forces, which included the United States of America, Great Britain, France and the Soviet Union.

The key point of the Atlantic campaign was to keep Great Britain from being cut off from imports of food, fuel and raw materials from overseas. If the Germans had taken Great Britain, there would have been no military bases for the western Allies to launch a strategic air offensive or a land invasion of the mainland.

As Germany's U-boat production continued to increase, so did the Allied losses. In the end with the use of ocean convoys set up by the Royal Navy and the Royal Canadian Navy, and successes with intelligence decoding that allowed evasive routing of convoys, the Germans all as much lost the Battle of the Atlantic by 1943
