Hamsters can lose their teeth during a fight with other hamsters. The teeth are very important for their survival as they belong to "Rodent" family. Once they lose their teeth, it becomes impossible for them to chew and eat certain type of food, which leads to malnutrition, ultimately followed by death. You should consult a vet as soon as possible.

It is not normal for a hamster to lose tooth and it will definitely affect its diet. You should consult a vet soon. It can be some disease, which can affect other teeth as well. Watch carefully if broken teeth broke due to some hard object or they just came off. Is your Hamster any other unusual behavior physically? Don't feed it solid things till your vet declares it to be normal.
