Where Is Seingalt?

Seingalt is the name of fictional territory supposed to be located in France. This place was created as a result of Giacomo Casanova who was an adventurer and traveller. He was a Venetian by birth and was a writer and a womanizer by character. He is believed to have used all sorts of tactics like charm, guile, threats, aggression etc to conquer women and often left debt and children behind once his interest wanes. He is historical character who is compared to Don Juan.

He during one of his travels gave himself the title of Chevalier de Seingalt to impress the French sovereign and the French courts. Chevalier is a title given to a knight by the French Order. When Casanova assumed this title it helped to gain the friendship and acquaintance of several powerful and influential personalities in Paris and also helped him to be in their good books. Thus Seingalt never existed except in Casanovas lies and his imaginations.
