2000 Chevy Pick Up Head Lights Stay On Day Time Driving Lights Will Not Come On, Why?

As many Chevrolet trucks and vans that I see almost daily, one or both driving lights don't work. I'm guessing it is an inherent problem with the Chevy trucks and vans.
I'd say, call the dealership and see if it is a recall.
