What Is An Arch Enemy?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

An arch enemy is an enemy of a hero in a work of fiction. An arch enemy can also be known as an arch rival or an arch nemesis. An arch enemy may be the main enemy of a hero, though not in all cases. For example, in the Harry Potter series, the main villain is Voldemort, but Harry's arch enemy is Draco Malfoy, who attends the same school as him.

Famous arch enemies include Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Venom, who are all arch enemies of Spiderman, the Joker and Batman and Lex Luthor and Superman.
