We would not advocate that you enlarge the hose provided in the 'on its own' unit Air Conditioners, but if you have no other option it is significant to give vent to in to a much better width vent pipe. If the Air Conditioners fan cannot drive out high temperature fast enough an adequate amount of air i.e.: There is a reverse pressure to the airflow the unit will not work and could even be injured. If possible avoid extending the hose measurement lengthwise by locating the portable next to an outer surface wall or window.
If you have problems in venting the hose to the outer surface you may vent into a room where high temperature doesn't matter, for instance office to a warehouse.
On split systems the refrigerant shape cannot be extensive.
    Low temperature
There are restrictions to how cold the room temperature can be regulated. When operating in a rightfully sized room most Air Conditioners will cool to something like 21 degrees C. portable Air Conditioners are intended for peoples comfort. The perfect summer temperature for most people is around 21 – 24 degrees C.
