    My Pitbull Had Puppies 2 Weeks Ago And Has Not Been Feeding Them And I Found One Puppy Dehydrated And Not Responding Too Well To A Bottle Feed. What Should I Do? He Still Moves And Cries Once In A While.

    My puppy is not responding to the bottle feed and the mother won't feed him. He doesn't have enough strength to suck on the bottle. What should I do!!!!!!

    If they are not taking a bottle. You need to switch to a small tube and syringe. Measure it about to the top of the ribs. Insert the tube and slide it down the throat and inject small amounts at a time. A vet should be able to assist on the correct amount to inject for a puppy. I had to do this with my bulldog pups.

      Switch to a syringe to force some milk into him, the mother might not be feeding him because of illness. Mother's will neglect them if she senses that they are ill. If she is a first time mother, she might just be lacking experience. You need to make the puppy drink the milk though, and I know it sounds mean to force feed, but at this point in time, it's the only way. Hope this helps, good luck to you.

      Hi, first of all, Thanks a whole bunch for your help, I got a syringe but now the slightest drop I feed him comes out through his nose do you think he is choking on something, I am not giving him lots.

      Use an eye dropper to feed them.make sure you feed them every 2-3 hours so they don' starve

      Hi thanks a million for your advise but now he keeps pushing the formula out through his nose, any suggestions?

      Get some vets advice you could have a phone consultation its important you do this now as he is getting very weak and for whatever reason the mother is abandoning them which i have heard of before try to get that advice straight away good luck
