Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Rhondda Cynon Taff is a county borough situated in Glamorgan in South Wales. It is one of the most impoverished regions in the UK. The county borough was formed in 1996 with the merger of Rhondda, the former Mid Glamorgan Districts of the Cynon Valley and Taff-Ely apart from Pentyrch, which was an addition made to Cardiff.

The important towns of the county borough are Aberdare, Mountain Ash and Pontypridd. Rhondda Cynon Taff is bordered by Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly in the East, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan in the south, Powys in the north and Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot to the west.

As far as occupations are concerned, mining is the primary activity carried out in Rhondda Cynon Taff, as this county borough has coal in large quantities.
