    Let numbers are 5x, 3x and 12x

    so 5x+3x+12x = 720

    20x=720

    x=36

    so the numbers are

    5x 36=180 ---- Red

    3x 36=108 --- Yellow

    12 x 36=432 --- White

    So the red paint is less than the white paint by 252 milliliters, not more!
