Outstanding Debt From 9 Years Ago Do I Still Have To Pay It No Correspondence In 9 Years?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It depends on where you live as each State has different laws. Generally if the debt has been written-off, the debtor can seek repayment within 7 years. If you have moved and they debtor can establish that they have attempted to contact you at your last known address you may still be liable for the debt regardless if you received the correspondence or not.
