Why Does Ourstray Cat Not Like Being Inside Withthe Doors Shut, Is This Normal?

A stray cat came to our house 2-3 yrs ago. She does not like to be in the house with the door shut. Is this normal, she also does not groom herself, could this mean she was taken from her mother too early

Any animal, or human, is usually uncomfortable in an unknown or different situation than they're used to. Maybe your stray cat was very able to find food and loves it's former total freedom.

That's perfectly normal. Even is she wasn't a stray and just raised outdoors, she will not feel comfortable with being indoors. My sis has the most loving out door cat, but when I pick her up to bring her inside, she claws me. She gets kinda freaked out. So yes, if the environment is different, she will panic.

Yes, it's normal. It is very difficult to get an 'outdoor' cat to become an 'indoor' cat. But it is worth the effort - an indoor cat is not subject to cars, other animals, poisons, etc.

Not sure about the grooming part. I had a cat that was taken from her mother too early (her mother was feral), and the only unusual behavior she had was the need / desire for something to suckle on her whole life (not just as a kitten).
