What Is A Legend On A Map?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

On a map, the "legend" is pretty much a key. For example, it might tell you something like: BLUE SHADED ARE=Bodies of Water, RED AREA=Unpopulated Area, GREEN=Mountain Ranges, etc...This feature on a map is to help you read the map better and to understand the symbols and colors on it. I hope that helped you a little!

It is a useful thing on a map that helps you explain what certain things are on the map. It is mostly located in the bottom Corner.
