I'm Interested In Buying Property In Australia: What Is Available On An Average Budget?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It really depends on where you would like to buy in Australia. For instance, in Sydney you'll get very little change out of AUD $600,000 for a city center apartment - newly built and minimally appointed of course! On the other hand, $500,000 would buy you a large family home in a small town in NSW. This is a disparate country: The vast majority of the population lives within a (big) stone's throw of the ocean. So Australian house prices are even more affected by location. The closer you are to a center of population, employment and entertainment, the more you'll have to pay for less.
