What Causes Swollen Knees And Bent Knees When Walking Or Standing?

My knees are always bent. Can't seem to straighten them anymore, and when I walk the left knee seems to collapse a bit, when stepping on it, so this gives me and up and down motion. I was wondering if this come from my hip bone, or some type arthritis. Don't know what type of doctor I should see, and money is holding me back a lot . My family doctor sent me to a back dr, & pain management dr. I do have spinal stenosis. Any info will really help.

You have not mentioned that this condition causes pain or not. If you have pain while walking then it might be the osteoarthritis. If no pain, only swelling and loosening of the knee then it can be due spinal stenosis. As you are patient of spinal stenosis, so visit first a neurosurgeon.
He will guide you after proper diagnosis. For more details, visit osteoarhtritis, spinal stenosis.

Thanks a lot! I have seen 2 doctors in NY where I lived and no one has sent me to a rheumotoligist dr. They just keep saying its from my back I went to pain management dr. in Charlotte and he wanted to give me spinal injection(Cortisone) but I didn't have it done, because I don't think its coming from my back. It hurts in my knees and its stiff for awhile when I get up from a chair, riding in the car or in the morning when I get up. I can also here my knee go click click click when walking. Especially when I first get out of a chair.
