    Colin Baker is the name of a British actor whose biggest claim to fame is his portrayal as the Doctor in the popular TV series Doctor Who. He was born on the 8th of June, in the year 1943, in the capital city of London.

    After making an appearance in For Maddie with Love, he was first seen in Doctor Who as the character named Commander Maxil in the episode titled Arc of Infinity. He shot the Doctor in the series, and then went on to replace him the first actor to do so in the television series.

    Baker first appeared as the Doctor towards the end of the episode titled The Caves of Androzani, where his debut was made. Baker is also the only actor that has been asked to leave the show. He was on the show for a time period of two years, from 1984 to 1986.
