What Does Inhuman Mean?

    The word inhuman is an adjective. A person is termed inhuman when he lacks kindness, compassion or pity. Such a person is commonly called cruel. This person is considered to be deficient in emotional warmth. For example: Inhuman and degrading punishments are still meted out to the prisoners of war. The sentence indicates that the punishments are very cruel and torturous.

    Inhuman is something which is not suited for human beings or their requirements. For example: an inhuman environment. Something which is not human and does not seem to be produced by a human being is called inhuman. It is said to be monstrous, barbarous.
