Do Pocket Bikes Have Any Advantages Over Full Size Motorbikes?

Answer Question

Yes, there are plenty of advantages. One, for starters, is the cost; a brand new pocket bike will set you back a few hundred pounds. A full-size motorbike will cost thousands. Also dwarfed are insurance costs.

A full-scale motorbike requires a driving test in order to banish L plates. With a pocket bike, you can't ride them on the rode legally, so they're more or less ready to drive away straight out of the box.

There's also the sheer size to consider too. The compact dimensions of a pocket bike are very convenient. How much space would a full-size motorbike occupy in your crowded garage? Assuming you actually have a garage.

A mini motorbike by comparison takes up a fraction of the space and can even be stored in a cupboard. They fit neatly into the boot of a family saloon car, making them easy to transport to pocket bike circuits and race tracks.

Falling off is almost inevitable with any two-wheeled vehicle. At the top speeds possible on a pocket bike, any injury is going to be much less severe than a crash while red lining a full size motorbike.
