Is Ireland A Good Place To Go Golfing?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are some good courses in both the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland, however generally people tend to stick to the Republic. Northern Ireland is generally avoided because of all of the trouble which has gone on there in the past. However, it does have some extremely good courses and it is generally cheaper than the Republic of Ireland too so it may well be worth looking into!

Overall Ireland is seen by many golfers as one of the most challenging golf course countries in the world. Some of the better ones include 'Ballybunion', 'Killarney' and Carne. The landscapes in Ireland are beautiful and the gold courses are deigned by some of the best golf architects and players in the world. There are courses to suit people who want that little bit of added luxury, and there are courses to suit those on a budget. So, if you are a fan of golf, Ireland is definitely one of the best places to go.
