How To Win The Hearts Of Audience During Communication?

Answer Question

The next rule is that your humor should be released to the topic or the occasion. A completely out-of-context joke may be approximate at a dinner party, but not in business communication. Do not for example start a presentation with a series of unrelated jokes and they say "well now the jokes are over and let me get on with my presentations". Your audience is likely to feel disjointed.

Introduce your humor unexpectedly not blatantly. Never preface a joke by saying that remind me of a joke. In summary if you feel comfortable opening a presentation on a humorous note, fine. But do not feel you have to. You can grab your audience's interest in one of two effective ways: by referring to the usual or referring to the familiar.

Referring to the unusual gains audience attention by telling people something they di not know, to arouse their curiosity. Such openings include rhetorical question, a promise of what your presentation will deliver, a vivid image, s starting example or story, or an important statistic. As an example of a important statistic you might open with.  Referring to the familiar gains audience attention by tying into something your listeners already know.
