My Lab has a an ear infection. He is shaking his head and scratching at his ears with a yelp everytime he scratches. I have ordered Zymox Otic which has great reviews. My question is how do clean his ears without putting him thur further discomfort. I found a website that says to use apple cider vinegar, which I did and it seems to have made his condition worse.

You can find its eardrum hurt if it shakes its head too much. If you have tried enough to clean its ear and its getting even worst then it is recommended to hospitalize it soon where it can be treated according to its disease and its ear would be cleaned by using antiseptics and antibiotics. Try to find out if there are mites in there or not and clip its hair if any around its hair to make its cleansing easy.
