Do I Have To Sell My Investment Property After A Few Years?

Answer Question

Only if you want to sell it,there is no law that says you must sell your investment.....good luck to you as long as you are able to pay any fees, taxes etc. That come due on the property.......

I think I worded that wrong. I have had a rental property for 2 yrs. I was told if I keep it another year or more, I will have to pay capital gains on the profit when I go to sell it....unless I reinvest in another investment property. I am currently renting in another state & was thinking about buying a house but keeping my investment, which brings in about $500 profit each month. I have been told both...sell now or hold onto it indefinitely. Advise?
