    Who Invented The Cpap Machine?

    If one has sleep apnea (stops breathing during sleep)doctors usually prescribe a cpac machine which provides air. I just wondered who came up with this and why.

    The reason why is because its the best treatment for OSA. OSA untreated leads to heart attack, stroke, diabetes, asthma and hypertension. There are strong links between OSA and fibromyalgia as well. Its a natural treatment that uses no drugs, just filtered room air. The first design was built off of a vacuum motor, and they used to have to super glue a casting to your face that acted as a mask. Now the COPs are very quiet, and the masks have come a very far way.
