 How do I trim my hamster's nails with out hurting him?

 You don't clip them at all , you don't do nothing to their nails,they need their nails to open shells so they can eat the seeds inside.

 DON'T!hamsters have very small fingers and they need those nails to eat food.

 It won't kill it simply take it to the vet and have them cut it kind of short but not all the way cut! That's what i did to my hamster because when he rides on my shoulder,(i taught him to do that:) he would scratch up my arm!
