Where Does One Look For Jobs In The Arts In Scotland?

There are not a plethora of jobs in the arts in scotland, although there will always be a place for talented individuals with resilience and personal conviction.

There are a number of websites, such as S1jobs and The List (also a magazine) which regularly include a lot of arts jobs for the whole of scotland.  Some arts jobs find their way on to the noticeboards of places like colleages, universities and conservatoires in Scotland.

Other places include The Stage and the Guardian, but being Londro-centric, it concentrates mainly on London and I mean London and not England.

Other places might include arts bulletin boards, newsgroups etc on the Internet.

Word of mouth is and always had been, alongside personal recommendation been one of the best ways of assuring yourself a position.  And once you've got a job, it's rather easier to find another, most of the time.
