This Question Is Answered:
Do You Typically Book Adventure Trips Before You Go On Vacation, Or After You Arrive At Your Destination?
As it turns out, many people do not reserve "adventures" for their vacation until after they have arrived. If travelers do research prior to their trip, what do they look for or want to find in relation to their vacation destination? In researching your trip, what are you looking for? What would catch your attention, and how do you view adventure travel as a whole?

If you mean excursions, we have done both. If there is something you know you want to do that you think is extremely popular and there is a chance it could be overbooked, book it before you go. We have found, though, that in order for it to feel like a vacation, we like to do things more spur of the moment, in other words, don't book so much of your time you don't have time to relax or sleep in. On cruises, you sometimes have to book in advance or you'll miss out on some things you are really interested in.

Asking a question only so you can advertise your business within it on this site without paying appropriate fees is rather out of integrity, wouldn't you agree?

I will book my adventures when I arrive, and I will not use an agency that does not demonstrate ethics in their methods, in advertising or otherwise.

In posing this question, we are not trying to be immoral nor unethical. This is not intended as an ad - rather, we're truly trying to better understand how travelers view adventure travel and how we can better serve people interested in finding these kinds of activities. Thank you for your response - we've revised the question so that hopefully that's clearer.

We understand that many people do book adventures when they arrive at their vacation spot. We are looking to find out WHY that is their decision. And for those that do research and/or book online in advance, we're hoping to better understand what kind of information they're looking for.
