1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Ray Douglas Bradbury  is a prolific writer. He has published more than 20 books of short stories. The first one,  published in 1947 , was called the 'Dark Carnival' and the most recent one is 'A Sound of Thunder' in 2005.

Born on August 22 , 1920 in Illonois, U.S.A., he was a voracious reader in childhood. Beside short stories, he has written plays for the Radio and the Stage. Also three books for children and quite a few screenplays for Hollywood and television.

Ray Douglas Bradbury  was very offended with Michael Moore for naming his documentary 'Fahrenheit 911' because the name is similar to the title of one of his stories. Bradbury also serves as a consultant and has helped design a pavilion at Disney World. Bradbury was presented with 'The National Medal of Arts' by president Bush in 2004.
