It is certainly not normal to be spotting 1-2 weeks after having your period. If you are having irregular periods, then you might experience it, but if you have regular periods so far, then it is serious.
The main cause for spotting is usually pregnancy. If the discharge is brownish pink in color, it is implantation bleeding. Which means you have just conceived. So its best if you take a home pregnancy test or go to a doctor for confirmation.
