    Chester is a town located in North West England and also the county town of Cheshire County. It is situated on the bank of the River Dee and is quite close to the border of Wales. Chester is also considered to be the one of the best preserved walled cities in the UK. The population of the city is 80,121 according to the census of the year 2001.

    Chester is a very popular shopping centre and it has rows of shops that can be date back to medieval times. The Forum, an indoor shopping centre, signifys the Roman past of the city. The city is also famous for the soap opera 'Hollyoaks', which was quite famous on Channel 4. The setting of the opera was this city, although most of the filming happened somewhere around Liverpool.
