The Druids didn't actually build Stonehenge. There were three stages of people who did build Stonehenge, however - the Windmill Hill People, who built the first ring around 3500 BCE; the Beaker People (so named because they buried beaker pots with their dead), who built the second stage around 2500 BCE; and the Wessex People, who built the final bits of Stonehenge around 1500 BCE. This was all before there was any presence of Celtic culture in Britain, which started around 500 BCE.
I was just tring to be comical, I didn't need such an in depth explanation. You just joined blurtit and you are already making enemies. I have been on here for a while and have many friends as you can tell by my profile page. So thanks a lot for the thumbs down, I'll have return the favor to you, and let all the people that I am friends with to watch out for you!!! I hope you didn't really want to enjoy this site!!!
And by the way, you might have pointed out who all did the building, but you still didn't answer the question. WHY WAS IT BUILT? If you want to be so technical, then finish what you started since you seem to have all the answers!!!
