Viruses cause many diseases following diseases are being common in Pakistan
Small pox:
Small pox is caused by poxvirus. It is an ancient disease, which is known to have occurred as epidemic in China as early as the 12th century BC. Until the early 20th century small pox was a common disease through out the world. In small pox raised fluid filled vesicles are formed on the body, which become pustules, later on and form pitted scars, the pox. By 1950s immunization and other control measure had largely decrease the danger but it is still present in the third world countries where many people are affected.

Herpes Simplex:
Herpes virus causes this disease. This is naturally occurring disease of mankind. In this vascular lesions in the epithelial layer of the ectodermal tissues are formed. Most commonly this disease occur in the mouth, on the lips, and other skin sites.

Influenza:
Influenza viruses are enveloped RNA viruses in which nucleic acid is in single stranded. Influenza is wide spread disease in man and happens in epidermic form.

Polio:
Poliomyelitis is caused by poliovirus. It is found all over the world. It happens mostly in child hood. The age at which primary infection occurs varies with social and economic factors. The polioviruses are the smallest non-viruses and contain RNA in spherical capsids.
