How Can I Install Ubuntu While I Have Already Windows Xp On My Computer?

You can install any windows even in the presence of windows XP. I think you have asked this question because Ubuntu is open source operating system and it has its own file system which is different from windows XP. But still there are no problems for installing Ubuntu.

As you are using windows XP then it means that all the partitions have FAT 32 or NTFS file system. You can use the following method for installing Ubuntu.
    (1) First of all copy all the data from one of your drive to the other. Suppose you want to format the drive F of your system but as after formatting all the data will be deleted from that drive so copy all the data of drive F to any other drive of your computer.

    (2) After copying all the data from drive F to any other drive, format the drive F.
    (3) Next step is to delete this logical drive F. Because you will install Ubuntu on this free space. For deleting the logical drive F, follow the following procedure.
Right click on "My computer" and select "manage". A window will open with several options. Click on Disk management. Now right click on the drive F and select the option as "Delete Logical Drive".

    (4) Now you can install ubuntu on this free space. Just put the CD of ubuntu in your CD drive and follow the installation process.
    (5) After the installation of Ubuntu if you see any error while booting the system then insert your Ubuntu's CD in CD Rom and repair boot manager. Actually some times when we install a open source operating system on the computer which already has windows then some time, when we start the computer after the installation of new operating system then system fails to show the installed operating system on the screen. So in this case we have to repair boot loader.
