My dog has an ulcer on the side of his eye. What are the best ointments & pain meds. To ease this condition. My Vet wants to operate without even trying meds. Yeah, $$$$$

The ulcer in the conjunctiva of eye is called Conjunctival Ulcers. This can be due to infection either by bacteria, virus, or fungus, It can also be due to cancer. A differential diagnosis is required for the start of treatment. For viral Conjunctival Ulcers, use acyclovir cream. For bacterial cause use antibiotic cream, for fungus use imidazole derivative.
