How To Burn DVD With A Dual Layer Burner?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Dual layer recordable discs have two organic dye recording layers and they are between polycarbonated bases metal layers that are semi-reflective and are separated by spacing layers that are transparent.

When recording happens in this kind of discs the drive records the first recordable layer L0 first. When the end of the information that is recorded in L0 is reached, the Middle zone 0 is also added. Then the drive focuses on the recordable layer L1 and the purpose is to create the Middle zone one which over wraps 0. Then the disc is recorded with the dual layer recordable media. It has the advantage of recording the multi session disc so it is possible in it to add data in sessions on this kind of disc.
