There are some providers who deal with business mortgages as well as household mortgages. For instance, most of the high street banks and building societies will do both, but they usually have completely different divisions dealing with businesses and household affairs, not just for mortgages, but for bank accounts, loans and so on. They usually follow completely different sets of rules as well, and it's unlikely that you will be dealing with the same people.

There is also a large number of businesses that exist to serve the purely business market and it would be wise to try some of those as well as the major home market providers. They will approach your requirements in a different way to residential providers, taking the company's earnings and potential earnings into account rather than just the value of a certain property, and calculate the risk in a different way. These companies advertise extensively on the internet or can be found through business advise services such as the Institute for Independent Business, the Federation for Small Businesses, or your local Business Link organisation.
