Why does the sound go off the TV when watching a movie in my DVD player? I can watch 12 movies and the sound will stop on 3 to 4 movies. I start movie over and it will play OK rest of movie.

Well this problem obviously is related to your dvd but maybe you might check your cable that is connected with your television set. It might be that there has been some malfunction in the cable leading to the sound going out again and again. Furthermore it might be that your dvd needs to be checked by an electrician and repaired so that this problem does not occur again. You have not stated how old the dvd is, if its quite old it might be that it has passed its time and needs to be replaced. Keep these factors in mind while you deal with finding a solution for the problem.
