Peter Pan, the boy who wouldn't grow up, has been a favorite character of children throughout the years. The cheerful boy is clad in green and has a tiny cap on his head. Peter Pan, and the enchanted world 'Neverland' where children never grow up, were created by Sir James Mathew Barrie.

Sir J. M. Barrie was a play writer. His inspiration for Peter Pan has been hinted to come from the four boys he took to take care of, the youngest named Peter. These boys did not have a father. It is said that Sir J. M. Barrie loved these children, and it was the time spent with these children that gave him the idea of a boy who refused to grow up. Many books have been written on him, and even a movie has been made on his life and inspirations i.e. 'Finding Neverland' (Johnny Depp as Sir J. M. Barrie & Kate Winslet). The enchanted world of Never land contains Fairies, Mermaids and many other fantastic creatures.

Sir J. M. Barrie describes fairies like this: "When the first baby laughed, the laugh broke into a hundred pieces that began jumping around; that was the start of fairies".
Sir James Mathew Barrie mysteriously disappeared, though his bracelet was found from the sea a few years back.
