My older dogs don't have tails and would bite the pups tail

Its very unlikely you will find any vet willing to do it for cosmetic reasons at this age, as it is best done as soon after birth as possible. A lot of vets even refuse to do it then. There is no reason why your other dogs would go for the pups tail, unless in play. They wont think its some strange monster that must be attacked!
