Ratio is very simple. Lets say if there are number of boys and girls in a classroom, and their ratio is 5:3 , If I tell you the total number of students in a classroom i.e. 40 , then how will you calculate the number of girls and boys???? So easy, just add 5+3=8. Then divide 45 by 8, you will get 5. Now multiply number 5 with the ratio numbers, you will get the number of boys and girls i.e. 25 and 15.
