Is Children's Symptoms The Same As Adults When It Comes To Viral Meningitis?
My granddaughter has been having headaches for awhile now her neck hurts a lot gives her trouble she is just 9 years old

Viral meningitis is inflammation of meningitis due to virus. This is most common cause of meningitis affecting both children and adult. This infection is usually treated within 10 days. This is not serious type of meningitis. The bacterial meningitis is more dangerous. Its symptoms are same in adults and children like fever, headache and neck stiffness etc.

My daughter has a sore throat, high fever, headache, stuffed up head, stiff neck and now is complaining of back pain. I took her to the doctor yesterday and they said she has a sinus infection I am worried it may be more, but I don't want to be an over reactive mother and take her to the ER.
