What Did You REALLY Want To Be When You Grow Up?
I mean, when you were very young, what unrealistic goals did you have. I wanted to be a Rock Star, but I don't sing well or play any instruments.

I really wanted to be a school teacher (hence I am answering questions on blurtit.com.). However, after talking to school teachers I raised my goals to construction work.

I am sorry, this answer, besides giving me my first really good laugh today, gives rise to too many questions. Thanks. Big muscles a tan and plenty of sunshine is a pretty good trade off.
I think we have a winner!
Thanks for sharing that--it made me laugh out loud. My daughter (who is almost 3) always says she wants to be things like that. Right now she wants to be a TV.
Oddly enough I always wanted to be a lawyer. (stop laughing everyone). My grandfather was an attorney and I always thought he was the most wonderful person in the world. He always listened and he was always very fair. After he died last year (at 103!) I talked to a number of people who considered him to be one of the most ethical people they knew. I was so disappointed to grow up and find out all lawyers were not like him! I ended up being a paralegal for a number of years instead of a lawyer since I never had the time/money to go to school. Now I am going to school again to finish my degree and we'll see where I end up.

At one point I wanted to be a doctor, or a nurse, but then I wanted to help animals, but the one thing that stuck with me all my life was that I wanted to be a mother, just like my mother. She was really my hero.

Some Dreams really do come true!
Isn't that wonderful?
My goal in life when I was little was to be a baton twirler, after I saw one in a parade. I guess I thought I'd go pro -- LOL! Later on, I decided I wanted to be a school teacher, then an artist (I was taken in by the romantic 60's idea of having a little loft in The Village (NY) and painting all day while suffering financially for the sake of fine art), but it ended up that my love for baking and paperwork took me into jobs where I enjoyed both. I still bake like I'm feeding the troops, but share the baked goods with neighbors, family and friends.
