What Does Rotate On Their Axis Mean?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

This is how a planet's 'day' is determined. If you picture a bicycle wheel, the wheel rotates around a central hub. This corresponds to the axis around which a planet rotates. The time taken to complete one revolution is a 'day' on that planet. In the case of Earth, a little under 24 hours.
