How Did Socrates Feel About The Immortality Of The Soul?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Tradition's and history for a long time has been puzzled about the fact that why did Socrates not leave any sort of written legacy, hence there isn't much to say about immortality of souls.

Socrates disparages the contentment of the senses, but is still thrilled by youthful beauty; he is dedicated towards the education of the boys of Athens, but is yet unresponsive towards his own son's. The trial as well as the execution of Socrates is said to be the climax of his life and career and the main events of the dialogs of Plato.

According to Plato post his court conviction, Socrates could have escaped the death sentence by paying a small sum as fine which he did not and also while in prison he could have escaped easily which he did not.
