Swan Lake is basically a ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. This was presented in four different Acts, four scenes or sometimes even into three different acts as well as four scenes. These scenes and acts were based on a libretto by Vladimir Begichev and Vasily Geltser. This play was choreographed by Julius Reisinger. The Lake of Swans was first on hand by the Ballet of the Bolshoi Theatre on March 4, 1877 in Moscow, Russia.
Although this ballet is found in many different versions, they are both choreographically and musically based on the revival by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. This was first presented at the January 15, 1895 at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia.
