Jimmy Carter's brother was Billy Carter or William Alton Carter the younger and the only brother that former US President Jimmy Carter had.
William Alton Carter was born on the 29th of March 1937. He studied at the Emory University in the state of Atlanta. He also served later in the Marine Corps of the United States. Later he helped his brother and worked for him in the families business. He was married to Sybil Spires in the year 1955. They had six children together.
Billy Carter to some extent caused trouble for President Carter both when he was running for President and after being elected to office. He also registered as an agent of the Libyan government and received financial remuneration for the same. He died on the 25th of September 1988 of pancreatic cancer.
