My Chi-wienie Vomits, What Should I Do?

Your dog needs to be examined by a veterinarian.  There is nothing you can do at home since your dog is vomiting--the dog will vomit up any medication given.  Also you need to determine the cause of vomiting to make sure it is not serious.  Common causes of vomiting are dietary indiscretion, foreign body obstruction, pancreatitis, toxin exposure, and viral diseases (like parvo virus in unvaccinated puppies and adult dogs).  Regardless of the cause your dog needs supportive care.  Little dogs are very sensitive to fluid loss leading to dehydration, hypoglycemia, and hypothermia.  Have your dog examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
