    Natural gemstones can be found in seven counties which are located in the state of New York in the United States of America. They are Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Oneida, St. Lawrence and Washington counties of the state of New York in the United States of America. All these seven counties, namely Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Oneida, St. Lawrence and Washington counties are located in the north-eastern part of the state of New York in the United States of America.

    Tolanite is the oldest rock which is found in the state of New York in the United States of America. It is an igneous rock, which has now metamorphosed. It is found in the Adirondacks County, which is situated in the south-eastern part of the state of New York in the United States of America. It dates back to approximately 1.3 billion years ago. Rockland and Westchester counties of the state of New York in the United States of America have traprock quarries, which are still in operation.
