Unfortunately English Bulldogs are not cheap and some people get away with selling them for almost £2,000 these days. It depends entirely upon where you live.

There are some good websites to check out including Epupz.com (or co.uk for the UK) however prices may not be what you expect them to be. The best thing to try is probably your local newspapers. You could place a wanted add both online and in your local paper. That way people will know you are looking for a cheap bulldog and they will be able to get in touch with you if they have one or know somebody who does.

Overall bulldogs aren't cheap but you may be able to find something if you look in all of your local classifieds.

Please look into www.bulldogrescue.org. There are so many lovable and adorable bulldogs with very sad life stories, and in need of a loving family. The prices range from nothing to donations to shipping fees.

It is important to know if you are looking just for a pet or purebreed English Bulldog, perhaps even from a champion blood line.
A good English Bulldog will cost you anywhere from $1000 to $3500, an average price for a Champion Sired bulldog is around $2500. It may sounds like a lot of money, but you are getting a friend and a family member for 8-14 years. And you want your dog to meet the bulldog standards as an adult. Try to work with the sellers that offer Health guarantee! Most of the reputable sellers will let you charge the cost of the puppy on your Credit cards you if wish. The main thing is to make sure that you are getting a healthy puppy, no inbreeding, potential genetic problems, defects.
You got to be very careful when you see all those deals on English bulldogs for sale for $1000. There could be something wrong with the puppy or it can be a scam. Try to buy bulldog locally or if you found the marking you were looking for over the internet follow those steps to protect yourself:

      1. See if the site has phone numbers, call them just to make sure. If the seller insists on email only. Move on, it's a scam

      2. NEVER MAIL CASH. Paying by credit card will offer you protection you deserve

      3. Try to avoid Western Union or Money Gram Transfers (They usually can't be recoursed)

      4. Go with your Gut Instinct. If it feels funny, it is funny.

      5. The average price for a good English Bulldog puppy is between 2K & 3K. Not a 1K.

      6. "There are no good deals on English Bulldogs in Nigeria." Move on its a scam.

I have an English Bulldog who is 5 yrs old and can no longer provide the kind of home he deserves. He is a very sweet and well behaved dog. If I can find the right person or family I will give him away at no charge.

I've always wanted an English. I think once things settle down around here I'm going to adopt one. Which is what you should do! - There are waayyyy too many animals out there now that need homes. Don't buy from a overpriced breeder. Get a humane society or rescue dog. You'd be surprised at how great their personalities are. :P
